My Background
I started making pottery at Hopkins, MN Eisenhower High School in 1973.
My teacher was Mel Jacobson and he still gives me valuable advice to this day (he's a young 85 year-old potter).
After 40 years in business finance at a multi-national corporation, retirement came just as Covid hit the world.
Building a pottery studio allows me to spend the rest of my life playing in the mud.

The pottery I create is made of Stoneware and Porcelainized Stoneware.
The pieces are fired in a Minnesota Flattop kiln to cone 10 which is over 2300 degrees.
Because of these types of clay and the high firing temperature, the pieces are extremely durable making them dishwasher,
microwave and oven-safe to 500 degrees.
